  4. Cathy,
I couldn't find an email. Here is how we made our poem video: We started off the day before reading the poem: "Things to Do With a Stick on the Way to School." Then we read the book Falling Down the Page. The students created a list poem, but I didn't give a lot of instruction. Today we read the book Scoot and I have a little more instruction. We wrote a class poem about animals at the pond using an animal and verb (turtles sitting). I then told them to create a new list poem in Pixie2. They could choose any subject. They worked on their poems for about an hour or so and then instead of saving, I exported their pictures which turned them into a jpg. I uploaded the jpgs into photostory and recorded them reading (all before lunch) while they were working on other things. I promise that is you have access to Pixie 2 and Photostory, it is easy. We have used Pixie 2 several times before, so my students know the program. Good luck! If you have any more questions email me at mrssaylor@sbcglobal.net.
